PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE, A FRESH PERSPECTIVE, and A COMMITMENT TO KEEPING LANGFORD AFFORDABLE, LIVABLE, AND THRIVING.

key priorities

AFFORDABILITY

Affordability needs to be considered in every decision to ensure Langford remains livable for families and for residents to thrive and not just survive. It’s about more than housing, it’s about how we get to work, the activities we do with our families, and the taxes we pay.

We need practical solutions to make it easier for people to get around in ways that reflect real life, now and as Langford continues to grow.

TRANSPORTATION

Langford continues to rapidly grow and the ways in which people move throughout the city continues to expand. Commuters, school drop-offs, and day-to-day appointments are all impacted by congestion and inefficiently designed transport links.

Bus stops need to be designed to allow buses to pull off the road and allow traffic to pass.

Traffic lights need to be better synchronized to relieve bottlenecks and congestion.

Design bike lanes that work for everyone on the road.

RECREATION

Recreation is essential to community wellbeing and needs to be planned for as the community grows. Langford is well served by existing facilities but access and affordability is an increasing challenge, and new facilities need to be built to keep up with growth.

Affordable YMCA fees and improved opening hours to fit everyone’s schedule.

New and expanded playing fields to support the growth of Langford’s junior sports teams.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Growth should be managed responsibly so that Langford remains a place where people can build a life. Solutions need to be implemented, not just for today but for the city’s future as it continues to grow.

Solutions should be designed by strong, locally-led sub-committees, not outsourced to expensive consultants.

The downtown core should be allowed to develop, and build upon the growth we have seen with new condo buildings, and the historic provincial investment in the new John Horgan campus.

Langford isn’t just where I live, it’s where I grew up, and where I’m now raising my family. I care deeply about this community and the people who call it home, and that’s why I’m running for Langford Council.

As a mom in a blended family with four kids, I understand the pressure families are under because I’m living it too. I was a young parent and spent many years renting, so I know what it’s like to work hard and still question how you’re ever going to get ahead. Those experiences give me a clear understanding of how decisions at City Hall shape this community and affect people trying to build a life here.

With a decade of experience in public service, I’ve seen how government decisions play out in real life, from housing and affordability to the services people rely on every day. I will bring a practical approach that will focus on keeping Langford livable, managing growth responsibly, and making decisions that reflect what people are actually experiencing.

Our community is growing quickly, and we’re starting to feel the strain. We need to manage that growth thoughtfully by upgrading infrastructure, paying attention to affordability, and making sure we don’t lose the sense of connection that makes Langford feel like home.

Langford has always been a place where people come to build a life. I want to make sure it stays that way for families, for seniors, and for generations to come.

I’m asking for your support to keep Langford practical, livable, and focused on what matters most.
